Former Camp Geneva Program Director Jon Mark Schoon (aka "Grandpa") was an avid sports-oholic who played hard to win. Before his untimely death in 2003, many kids, counselors, basketball partners, friends, and family members were impacted deeply by his intensity not just for the things he loved, but the love of Christ that he shared in his own unique way.
Join us at Camp Geneva at 10am on June 7th at Geneva for the first annual 'Grandpa's Games' - a fun day and dodgeball tournament fundraiser created by former Geneva counselors.
Help send a kid to camp.
Whether you're a serious dodgeball fanatic or just love to play for fun, join us for a day of dodgeball to raise money and send kids to camp who might not otherwise have the opportunity. For a small entry fee, each participant will receive an official Grandpa's Games T-Shirt, a place in the competition, and a chance to hang out at camp - not to mention helping a kid go to camp! Lunch is an optional addition (see registration page or brochure for entrance fees). Sign up deadline is Sunday May 25 for lunch and June 4 for dodgeball. Please help us out by signing up as early as possible.
In Jon Mark's honor and memory, all proceeds from dodgeball will go directly toward scholarships to continue his vision of bringing kids to camp and into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
